Porus started his career in 1993 with a Big 4 Firm (Ernst & Young), where he spent around 16 years, leaving as

Assurance Director, responsible for signing off on more than a hundred statutory audit opinions annually. During his tenure at E&Y, he also served as a Functional Consultant for the firm for around 4 years, helping the in-house Application Development Division build and deploy pan-Middle-east, core business applications in HR, Finance and Payroll for the first time. He then worked briefly as Group CFO with a $500 million international FMCG company based in Dubai.

Porus enjoys visiting scenic places, watching and playing sport - track & field, swimming, cricket, football, table-tennis, badminton. He is buoyed by reading philosophy, motivation, humour and physics. He takes a keen interest in and supports environment conservation, alternative energy, blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and other initiatives that drive equality of opportunity for a better life.
 

Professionally, Porus is a Chartered Accountant and Cost & Management Accountant from India, as well as being certified in Internal Audit (CIA) and Risk Management Assurance (CRMA). He is also member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) UAE.
